Our faithful reproductions of the Bibendum chair do fantastic justice to the original 1929 design by Eileen Gray. Strikingly different in visual appearance the chair was modeled on the actual Michelin man used by the Pirelli company to advertise their range of tyres and automotive products. The 'bubbled' and padded strips of leather have the appearance of almost floating and hugging the user as they sit in the rounded shape of the chair.
