Ludwig Mies Van Der Rohe was born in 1886 and died in 1969. Originally from Germany, his family moved to the USA where he studied and graduated in Architecture along with most of our featured designers. Van Der Rohe largely dropped his first name and preferred to be called Mies. The range of amazing designs originally by Mies Van Der Rohe that we present primarily include the renowned Barcelona series. The Barcelona series, originally a concept for the Barcelona Pavilion in 1929, includes the famous Barcelona chair and ottoman, a 2 and 3 seat sofa version and the Barcelona Daybed.
